Study Abroad
Unicollege welcomes students from Canadian universities across all of its study abroad formats: a semester or year abroad, summer sessions, faculty-led programs, internships and COIL collaborations, on four campuses in Florence, Mantua, Milan and Turin.
Unicollege courses are delivered within the Italian Higher Education System and carry ECTS credits: a full year corresponds to 60 ECTS, a semester to 30. Because Canadian institutions each apply their own transfer scale, we support your Registrar or international office with everything the credit-transfer assessment needs: complete course syllabi, contact hours and grading criteria, plus our side-by-side guide to the Italian system. The final conversion is always determined by your home university.
Canadian citizens staying longer than 90 days need an Italian student visa, issued by the Italian consulate serving your province before departure. Unicollege provides the full enrollment dossier for the application, and once in Italy our staff walks you through the residence permit and personal tax code. The step-by-step process is on our student visa page.
Students from partner institutions join through their university's exchange channels; independent applicants are welcome on a rolling basis. Ask your international office about existing agreements and mobility funding, or write to us and we will take it from there: applications are reviewed year-round, as explained in How to Apply.
