A Global Academic Network Built University to University
This international website presents the partnerships and mobility opportunities most relevant to students, faculty, families, and institutions in North America and worldwide; the University’s complete international profile is available at unicollege.eu.
International engagement is a structural part of Unicollege rather than a separate study-abroad activity. The University maintains more than 90 institutional partnerships across over 40 countries and five continents, together with a professional network of more than 500 companies and organizations supporting internships, placements, applied learning, and academic collaboration. Through these relationships, students and faculty move between higher-education systems for semester and year study, exchanges, internships, faculty mobility, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), research and teaching initiatives, and selected double-degree pathways.

Partners in the U.S. & Canada
North America represents one of the University’s most developed international regions. Unicollege works directly with more than 40 universities and colleges across the United States and Canada, encompassing public and state universities, private institutions, community colleges, and other higher-education communities. These partnerships are designed to make movement between academic systems clear: courses are documented through contact hours, learning outcomes, ECTS, North American credit references, grading information, and official transcripts, while academic equivalencies are discussed directly between the institutions responsible for awarding and recognizing the credit.
The underlying model is deliberately university to university. Unicollege does not require an intermediary organization to stand between the home institution and the Italian university. Agreements are developed through direct staff-to-staff and faculty-to-faculty cooperation, allowing academic design, credit recognition, student access, tuition arrangements, and program budgets to remain institutional decisions. Depending on the partnership, this may support reciprocal tuition waivers, fee-paying or hybrid mobility, and continuity of eligible home-university financial aid. Faculty-led programs follow the same principle: curriculum, destination, duration, field experiences, and financial parameters are developed with the partner faculty rather than drawn from a predetermined package.

Mobility extends beyond students. Unicollege receives and sends faculty, academic staff, administrators, and institutional delegations, supporting teaching visits, faculty exchanges, professional development, Erasmus mobility, COIL, and collaborative academic initiatives. The University also maintains an active presence within the international higher-education community through conferences, university fairs, partnership meetings, and professional networks, creating regular opportunities for faculty and international offices to develop new collaborations directly with their counterparts in Italy. The objective is sustained institutional cooperation rather than isolated mobility.
The network also supports deeper forms of academic integration. Selected partners collaborate with Unicollege through double-degree pathways, coordinated curricula, and joint academic initiatives in which learning outcomes, credit requirements, assessment, and progression are reviewed between the participating universities. Current double-degree relationships extend across Europe and Asia, complementing the University’s extensive Erasmus network and its growing North American partnerships.

Taken together, these relationships create an international university ecosystem founded on reciprocity, academic recognition, institutional accountability, and access. For students, this means the possibility of entering an Italian university without becoming detached from the academic structures of the home institution. For faculty and partners, it means working directly with another university — from initial curriculum discussions through student mobility, teaching collaboration, and long-term institutional development.
