Campus Housing & Meal Plan
Housing forms part of Unicollege Summer Study Abroad programs and is arranged directly by the University for all international participants. Placements are organized around three principles: safety, proximity to the academic location, and alignment with the summer session calendar.
Florence and Mantua primarily use University residences, while Milan and Turin operate through selected residences, apartments, hotels, and other approved accommodation within the Unicollege housing network.
Where Students Live
| Campus | Residential model | Meal arrangement |
|---|---|---|
| Florence | University residence first; approved affiliated housing if capacity is reached | Campus dining |
| Mantua | University residence integrated with the City College | Daily meal voucher |
| Turin | Selected affiliated residences, apartments, hotels, and approved housing | Daily meal voucher |
| Milan | Selected affiliated residences, apartments, hotels, and program-specific housing | Daily meal voucher |
Unicollege-arranged housing is mandatory for Summer Study Abroad participants, ensuring that residential standards, student support, and practical coordination remain within the University framework throughout the program.
Rooms & Residential Facilities
Summer housing is based primarily on shared occupancy, with room configuration determined according to campus, residence capacity, session dates, and availability. Room assignments are made by the University and communicated before arrival together with the relevant residence information and check-in instructions. In Florence and Mantua, University residences are prioritized; when capacity is reached, students may be placed within the established Unicollege housing network. In Milan and Turin, accommodation is arranged through selected partner residences, apartments, hotels, and other approved providers.
Accommodation is fully furnished and generally includes Wi-Fi, study furniture, kitchen or designated dining access, bathroom facilities, laundry access, shared living areas, and air conditioning where applicable. Individual layouts and amenities vary according to residence and city.
Meal Plan
A daily meal plan is included in Unicollege Summer Study Abroad programs. The standard provision includes one meal per day, typically comprising a main course, drink, and coffee. Florence uses campus dining facilities; Mantua operates through the applicable meal-voucher arrangement; Milan and Turin use daily meal vouchers accepted within the designated partner network.
Because summer programs are shorter and may include excursions, field activities, or alternative academic schedules, meal arrangements may be adapted where required by the structure of the session.
Before Arrival
Housing arrangements are completed as part of the pre-departure process. Students receive the relevant residence address, room assignment, check-in instructions, and meal-plan information before the beginning of the selected summer session whenever possible.
Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and early enrollment is therefore recommended where a particular campus or residential configuration is preferred. The Study Abroad Office remains the institutional point of contact for housing matters before arrival and throughout the summer program.
