Internship Areas

Unicollege internships may take place either within the University itself or with an external professional host. The opportunities listed below are in-house internship tracks, delivered on campus under the direct supervision of a designated Unicollege academic or staff member and integrated into the University’s academic framework.

External internships may be developed in other academic or professional fields upon request, subject to the student’s background, intended learning outcomes, host availability, language requirements, and placement feasibility. These placements are identified individually through Unicollege’s professional and institutional network rather than being limited to a fixed catalog of sectors.

In-House Internship Tracks

Teaching Assistantship

Students support faculty through class preparation, tutoring, learning activities, and student engagement across Unicollege courses. The pathway is particularly suited to students interested in education, teaching practice, languages, and academic environments. 3–9 U.S./Canadian semester credits.

Psychological and Academic Counseling

Students may contribute to mentoring, peer support, academic guidance, and student wellbeing activities under appropriate supervision and subject to availability. 3–9 U.S./Canadian semester credits.

Language Support and Tutoring

Students work within Unicollege’s multilingual academic environment as language tutors, conversation partners, or instructional assistants, connecting language study with supervised educational practice. 3–9 U.S./Canadian semester credits.

External Internship Placements

Other Fields Upon Request

Where the intended field falls outside the in-house tracks above, Unicollege may develop an external internship placement in another professional sector upon request. The placement process begins with the student’s academic discipline, level of study, intended learning outcomes, preferred professional area, and credit requirements. Unicollege then identifies an appropriate host organization, where available, and defines the placement together with the student, home institution, and professional host.

External placements may therefore be considered across fields such as business, marketing, communication, fashion, cultural heritage, tourism, international affairs, translation, creative industries, education, social sciences, and other professional areas, without limiting the program to a predetermined list of sectors. Placement remains conditional on host availability, academic fit, language competence, professional requirements, and the feasibility of establishing an appropriate supervised experience.
