Housing forms part of Unicollege study abroad programs and is arranged directly by the University for all international students. Placements are organized around three principles: safety, proximity to the academic location, and alignment with the University calendar.

Florence and Mantua primarily use University residences, while Milan and Turin operate through selected residences, apartments, hotels, and other approved accommodation within the Unicollege housing network.

Rooms & Residential Facilities

Semester and Year Abroad housing is based primarily on shared occupancy, with students typically assigned to double, triple, or quadruple rooms according to residence capacity and availability.

Room allocation is determined by the University and may vary by city, building, and semester. Final assignments are communicated before arrival together with the relevant residence information and check-in instructions.

Accommodation is furnished for semester-length stays and generally includes Wi-Fi, study furniture, a fully equipped kitchen or designated dining facilities, bathroom facilities, laundry access, shared living areas, and air conditioning where applicable. Individual layouts and amenities naturally vary across residences and cities.

Meal Plan

A daily meal plan is included in Unicollege study abroad programs.

The standard provision includes one meal per day, typically comprising a main course, drink, and coffee. Florence uses campus dining facilities; Mantua operates through the applicable meal-voucher arrangement; Milan and Turin use a meal plan or equivalent dining credit according to the residence and program structure. Alternative arrangements may apply in seasonal or exceptional circumstances.

Before Arrival

Housing arrangements are completed as part of the pre-departure process. Students receive the relevant residence address, room assignment, check-in instructions, and meal-plan information before the beginning of the academic term whenever possible. The Study Abroad Office remains the institutional point of contact for housing matters before arrival and throughout the program.
